Khye Borg Liew is the Director of Teaching and Learning at
All Star Code, a nonprofit CS organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of tech innovators by creating pathways to economic opportunity through CS education and mentorship. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at New York University, and teaches a synchronous, online Introduction to Computer Programming course every semester.
Khye completed his undergraduate studies at New York University and his graduate degree at Columbia University. As a CS educator, his work centers on mitigating educational inequities through the lens of technology and pedagogy. He integrates theories of culturally relevant teaching, student-centered learning, and asset-based approaches to empower students to see themselves as leaders in tech. Khye's work also focuses on AI literacy. He designs tools and learning experiences to help students utilize AI to elevate learning, while also engaging with questions of ethical and responsible AI use.
